Hi Juan ... Try re-soldering these contacts .... and check the 3-way switch that works well and is in the off position
Yes, because ic 5 acts as a comparator, the commands are assigned based on the value that reads on pin 2 ... so just one wire is enough for all the commands
Much apreciated the schematic Silver965. I`ve resoldered the 3 contacs you mentioned, To be honest I don't have son much electronic skilsl, I'm trying to measure continutiy to chek the joints, as mattb1970 suggested. If I'm mesauring properly at 3 points the tester shows continuity,
Joint 1 and 2, the measure are the same at its every 4 points of solder, at joint 3 there are differents measures, the 2 points next to the volume knob have the same measure while the other two have other different measure, it is normal?
Check if you have continuity between the BLUE point and the Red ones by moving the microswitch ... you must have one with fixed continuity and two others based on how you put the switch
I 've desoldered the cap located in front of the microswitch pins in order to be able to test the continuit directlty with the pin 2 of the ic5, as you mentioned in previous answer.
The microswitch has 4 pins, it seems 2 pins have allways continuity and the other 2 yes or no depending the position of the microswitch
The led on the secondary pcb turn on when the battery is connected and the tape is tensioned. I think there will be a discontinuity at some point, maybe the signal is entering to the secondary pcb but no returning to the main pcb
I think I get the issue, a broken component in the secondary pcb. By desoldering one cap I have access to review the suspected component. It seems to be broken during the desoldering process. I donĀ“t know wich type of component it is. It has four pins, two at each side. Silver965 if you have the service manual could you plesase check and tell me the specifications of the componet, or if you prefer could you pass me the service manual?
aaaaaa here ... of that component I only have two photos on my pl 50 ..... unfortunately I don't have a service manual for our cases ... but I have this one of the px 505 which is very similar ...
