Hey there! Recently acquired a AIWA HS-T500! Very neat machine, but having a difficult time taking it apart. Any advice? Would someone have the service manual for it too? I can seem to find one online.
You need to remove the screws that hold the back cover (black) and then pull from the part near the battery door (where the sticker is). If the unit has never been taken apart before, the cover will need some persuasion to come apart. Don't force it, use a spudger if necessary.
To remove the PCB there are a couple of solder points you need to unsolder: - buttons area (there are 2 groups of 2 contacts); - motor board (near batteries); - solenoid board (where the sticker was); - head cable; If you post a picture with the board I can mark all the points. Also keep in mind the main rotating points (capstan bearings, motor top bushing) should be lubricated as a minimum, apart from replacing the belt.
