When I desire something from another country in ebay I log into that countries ebay and then use a translator to communicate with the seller and persuade them to ship overseas to me ( IN THEIR LANGUAGE ) and this was working very well for me in the past for me to get some of the things I have now. but I am not actively searching for any more radios except for one but I am only looking for that 'one' part time anymore as I have far more issue's here in life than to be concerned about 1 little radio, plus I found a very cheezy replacement but 'it' just does not get it for me, and so it goes.

    PROS:

hard to find item, now is available on ebay
    reasonable price
    Descent condition

    CONS:
    not working.
This model has a faulty mechanism and almost all of them get this problem that at some point once you push the play button all buttons jam and nothing move anymore. So if you decide to buy this send it to experts to fix it for you (mine is fixed by @Sergi )

Sony WM-D6C is a must for all walkman collectors specially if it comes with box and all accessories.

    d6c.jpg
    PROS:
    fully working condition (per seller)
comes with all accessories (including the adapter)
    price is reasonable US $374.95

    CONS:
    visible scratches on walkman window
Low serial number of D6C are prone to get chip issue ("CX20084") that makes the walkman . run very fast. (This walkman's serial number is 19616 )

I see a D6, not a D6C. So it's even older than the oldest D6C, and it doesn't have the CX20084 but it might suffer from the high speed syndrom anyway. It does always feature the "pointed" amorphous head AFAIK.

Seems very nice though... As I see it it seems mint actually, I guess the scratches on the window are in fact a reflexion?

Yes, this is definitely D6, not D6C! I bought one (actually, D6 mentioned at the beginning of this thread!)... Never again!!! Thanks to @Deb64 excellent tutorial I managed to fix it, also recapped with Nichicon FineGold electrolytics. But Never Again I am falling for the headache of fixing D6!!!

yes it is is a D6. I apologize for the mistake.
Knowing that it is not a D6C doesn't qualify for "best walkman deal".

@Boodokhan Maybe not the "best" but still a good deal. Now that I have fully restored D6, I wouldn't trade it for D6C. Late models D6C look more like iPods on the inside: no good'ol'caps 'n' stuff, clean and sterile

might not be the "best" deal, but consider a real D6 as afar more rare unit than the D6C, the D6 they only made a very short period (i think only 1 year), the D6C for AGES.

i had a D6 and sold it - wich i regret, because i never found another one (i don't need it boxed)
