Update: I have the MDR-CD1700 now, which is not quite the CD3000 (the CD3000 is more sterile, while the CD1700 is darker by some opinions), but some models have the same driver allegedly (I'm not sure if this is an accurate info though, no evidence so far) - anyways, the CD1700 is fantastic. But the portable models, for example the MDR-62, MDR-M88, Aiwa HP-X10 walk the walk too. Especially the Sony earbuds, which are actually little wonders of their age, unparalleled SQ to this day. I doubt an MDR-E232 should hide from any recent earbuds.

The MDR-62 was the one to follow the MDR-51 and by that, it fixed the bass issue beautifully. I think the MDR-62 is among the 5 best earphones Sony has ever created when it comes to overall SQ, weight, etc.

My New old stock AIWA HP-X10 the best small/medium size ever created. I will never sell it. Flat speaker with ultra rare and very expensive

Samarium-cobalt magnet. A fantastic and unmatched 3D sound
