I have very few boxes like the Sanyo, if I picked it up and it had some weight it might be a game changer but all the ones I find I can lift with one finger. On top of that Sanyo had gone to that crappy logo....

Ah, I'd have passed on that as well.
In 90s there were much better Sanyo models.

BTW, is there a good site where I can check on all those upcoming boot sales
    in my vicinity (Oxford)?

Sharp VZ-3000Z Review, yes it's a home stereo but it's just a handle and battery compartment away from being a VZ-2000.

Sanyo Mini Stereo, this may have been the C20 in the US? From 1982

Does anybody remember the JVC KB-500? I never knew they made electronic keyboards, it certainly isn't as nice looking as the Casios and Yamahas.

Hopefully we all speak a little French, Le Haut Parleur has a ton of portable cassette stuff!

The Sharp GF 8585 and Sharp GF 9191, I can read a little French but this magazine seems to have really cool articles that break down all of the goodness in these boxes treating them as a respectable part of audio.

Just an oddball Sharp TV Boombox that I'd love to have, it's listed as a Sharp 10 P 18 but it has a different model number in the USA.

The French say "Le Chaine" or "Cette Chaine" is the chain or this chain reference stereo?
