A nice collection. The Aiwa with the curved handle looks very similar to the "Techniks" I saw at the local car boot sale. However, after copying Technics name they might have copied a genuine Aiwa design.

 

Arrived today! Made in Japan 'System 300' detachable recording walkman with 2 band radio!

I paid £5 for it & am so happy to get it home!

Barely a mark on it just easy shift dirt & in complete near mint condition!

What a little gem am looking forward to the restore.....

Who knows who made it? I have no idea but it's a great find

Just restored this little gem!

A generic unit - This one badged as a Triumph SRR-1500 & selling for just £49.99 in Curry's UK stores in Summer 1982! I know as I bought one back then.......

A budget stereo but well built & built to last as this one has, needing just a very deep clean & a belt!!

Another generic unit saved!!

 

Always open up replace belts & spray all switches etc

 

If it is real dirty! Some need very little doing! Am mid way through restoring a PC-5 atm! A big job for sure

I think many of the forum participants have not met with such
a radio tape recorder, and for me it was the discovery of Siringа 390S. I would call her the yellow chicken.
The cassette recorder has been produced since 1983 by the VEF Riga plant.
It consists of a tape recorder and a radio with a range of LW, MW, SW VHF FM.
The tone control is made in the form of a five-band equalizer. All inscriptions are in Latvian.
The price of 495 rubles is a lot of money at that time, the student's scholarship was 40 rubles.

 

But behold, the syringe (Siringa) as it is written on the radio, in Italian is for medical use.... Why call a radio like that... what did the producer think?
