Hello, I recently obtained a Sony K222ESJ, does anyone know if I can run it with a 110V step down converter? I haven't been able to find a 100V one and the device itself only says 100V.

    Greetings

Check Amazon and see if they have any Nissyo's, that would be my choice. I don't know what your plug, voltage or Hz are. Good luck!

    I shouldn't type things while sleepy :p

I'm in Spain, 220 territory, I'll see what I can do. Thanks

Nissyo seems a bit overkill with how little power this thing uses, but I'll have to look around

They come in different wattages, most people get them for Japanese Rice Cookers. If you get more JDM Equipment it's a good investment but they are built like a tank and there's cheaper alternatives.

Well I have a great step down unit with twin outlets 100VAC and US 110VAC. I'm running my CT-F1000 deck on the 110VAC and my brilliant Onkyo MD-105FX HiMD recorder on the 100VAC outlet. There is a warning in the Onkyo manual stating that the MD recorder should not be connected to a 110VAC power source. I'm not sure why but having seen so many Walkman WM-D6C Professional recorders ruined by switch mode power supplies I tend to pay heed to that recommendation about external power sources.
You may find this transformer is available in your country with a 110VAC input in place of the AUS 220/240 VAC mains I needed.
I've had this for 5 years and it's been 100% reliable.
    Cheers.
