I like this ad from Scotch 1977, The Master Series Cassettes.
Are these cassettes really clear? That was a pretty big deal when it happened, I wonder if the little triangle on the upper left means anything or is just pointing to the tab?

 

Maxell UD-C90 from 1977 at a staggering $4.25 USD each! Discounting is huge in the USA, I doubt they sold for that amount, I'd take 5%-20% off for everyday sales. It makes the deal above seem really good.

TDK advertised by far the most, this is a neat (and early) tie in with VHS tape from 1978. I remember video recorders around this time getting a sales kick because Star Wars was being shown on HBO and everyone wanted to own the movie. I don't remember pre-recorded movies availability but going into the 80's they were very expensive, most starting at $79.00 USD and going up from there.
