Mister x love mini systems, Sears had the LXI line made by Sanyo (564 = Sanyo). This looks almost new, maybe I'll throw in a best offer, too bad the photos aren't better. This is a cassette deck and reciever so not as refined as an AIWA.

Wow, that's an interesting keyboard, never seen anything like it. The build quality looks pretty good but it must be very rare.

 

A Marantz UNIX CRS-3.5 finally showed up on Ebay USA although it is a JDM Unit. That doesn't matter it still takes batteries and 6 volts of power. These are identical to the Sansui FX-300R which usually comes in black.

Sweet! This must be ultra-rare and would be great for a portable get-together. For the guys that hang out up at the top, the Olympus Roadrunner SR 11 is a portable stereo microcassette player, maybe one of the first with a built in radio. The shirt is dated 1980, too bad it's a little small for me.

It's getting tough these days but some interesting things are popping up. This Denon is really cool and I consider it a score if it's not on The Boombox Wiki, this must be a really early Denon, I think they used the name Columbia in the early days but I might be wrong. The logo is so cool, I'd love to get some shits printed up with it all over the front. If you show up at the next Midwest Meet with this I'll buy you a beer, but bring me some Vango's Pizza when you go pick it up.

They are great models but for some reason the SK-95's seem to be roached out and they still want $80 + USD. For good condition, complete, you'd be around $80-170.00. Pioneer made very substantial boxes up until the square black models, those were middle of the road and more mainstream. There is always one or two for sale, you may have to wait to get a good one.

 

The Olympus D-System was a pretty cool James-Bondish Player with multiple modules. As seen in the Walkman Archeology Thread, this was patented by Olympus and I don't think anyone else had a modular system outside of radio cassettes. Here's a nice package with the AM and FM modules, there's also a boom mic and voice actuator available.
