General Electric Confetti Boomboxes from 1989.
I've neer seen this used with the confetti in the speakers, kind of a neat idea.

Walmart Ad with Boomboxes, even in the 80's VHS tapes were around $4.50 USD, a pretty layout back then. We didn't have Walmart in my town yet so we never saw the boombox isle.

This ad is special for me since it was my first portable CD Player. CD players were still kind of rare in cars and Magnavox was selling a kit with small speakers and the cassette adapter.
