Hello folks. I just picked up a WM-DD33 which was my choice after about 2 months of watching all the videos I could find, deciding on a price point and eventually finding one in the condition that I wanted.

I'm here mostly to ask questions about 80s and 90s era Walkmans and also look for some hard-to-find gear.

    Thanks for having me!

Welcome, the best thing about this equipment is there's a lot of variations, odd-ball, and extremely rare units. Germany and Greece seem to be the areas with the fringe units, if you look at the Greek Sellers on Ebay they have a little of everything.

Namely a case for the DD33/DD30 series and a good/mint condition DC2. Although no one seems to have either. All the DC2's I find are very bashed up, or are in unworking condition but still at a price point of 500 euro which I find very unfair considering it would cost at least 100 euro further to maybe fix it.

Other than that, I'd love to find an AIWA HS-PX303 some day. Even a PX505 would be nice but I've never seen one in the wild :)

DC2 is a great walkman and of course pricey. a decent looking and repaired DC2 is about USD 450 . A mint restored DC2 with all original accessories would be around 750- 850 US Dollars.
AIWA HS-PX303 is the most beautiful AIWA when it comes to designs. But its hard to find a restored/ repaired one
