When i saw this rare green poor EX2 i just had to save it....never seen this color before so great addition to the collection despite the damage a leaky AA battery has caused. Yes the leakage came through the AA cart but this way the pcb was saved and hardly had any damage, the motor on the other hand was totally ceased and was bathing in a blue ocean. Nevertheless opened the engine up bt the stator pcb had to much damage to be saved. So took it apart and saw this As you can see the leakage stopped just before the mechanics and only the forward capstan needed good cleaning and is running smoothly now. So got rid of all corrosion and the mounting plate cleaned up nicely had some black paint which i applied with a small painters brush So everything running smoothly after the cleanup and paint, time to put her back together and see if there is life, also had to clean the lower bracket back to bare metal, big bracket had no damage at all. Although i got the motor unceased again i had my doubts if it would work but it was hand turning freely again.... Reglued the plastic beauty insert..... And put her back together again So power is reaching the board and on button press the power led will light up and the motor gets correct voltages on button press but motor itself is toast...sometimes it moves a bit so i guess new motor and she is good to go.... Will report back when i get a new motor or stator pcb....have a good working motor here from a A602/Green button mech but i need to see if i can swap the stator pcb.
