Yes, the dustcovers are very "sensitive" , I'm the only one with permission to dust it too
But the one, where I put my DD on it isn't clear anymore... it's my first record player I bought second hand.. it was already scratched...
The other one is like new ... i never stop telling this to my wife and my children...
Good idea to keep another one for some special situations... I will try to find one!

Wow... Those sound like what we know here as reverb and "loudness", respectively. The latter was a function on my Panasonic SGJ-500, which was labeled "ambience" on the European variant, the SGJ-555. And yes, it does make a night-&-day difference in the sound... which is why I always had it switched on too!

 

Yeah, moreover very very... Classy stuff!

The following pic I took last weekend in a club in cologne during a concert (Mos Def was in the house).
The whole club is decorated with boomboxes... even inside the counter... (on the pic it was one counter for drinks)
I hope there aren't serious collector's boxes behind the glass.....
I like to see that but I don't know much about this kind of mobile stuff....

 

Maybe for someone of you members it might be a sacrilege to put those machines into a counter.... but it looks awesome - and it's not me who captive them...
