I am new to this board, hence the post. I am based in Hamburg, Germany, and recently found a few MiniDiscs from the 90s in the attic, which prompted me to buy a vintage MD player. Somewhere along the way, I realized that I'd rather collect plenty of old-school Walkmans, gift them to friends, and start getting back into the mixtape business (non-commercial, of course). A total of six weeks later, I am the proud owner of seven Walkman units, only two of which are currently working. My vision of collecting and recording has evolved into learning how to repair these beauties, without breaking the bank by only buying units in perfect condition. On the side, I am a hobby DJ who owns two Technics 1210 turntables and roughly 800 records equally split between Rock, House, and Pop. My two favorite records among the collection are the self-titled Modjo album from 2001, which includes their mega hit "Lady," and a UK first press of (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. In Hamburg we say "Moin" so the "Hello" might actually be a bit misleading.
