Hey everyone it's me again! So all wired proerly , I got the headphone adaptor and damn-- yes I got sound in my headphones! Tuner sound, and aux/ipad both fine in headphones. Speaker switches all on in front but still no speaker sound, not even a crackle, dead. Hmmm, is there a fuse I should be checking perhaps? thank you everyone for your audio generosity , jeanli

I do not have schematics for this Aiwa but usually, if headphones work, then speakers should get a signal also. Usually there is just a resistor from the amp-out for the headphones, the same signal goes into the speakers. A and B speakers option might got you confused, post a photo on how your speakers got connected now. They should be wired to the Top Row only

omg. Jorge--you were right I got the A and B speakers mixed up --that Top Row Only piece got me thinking and I rewired them properly now. Omigosh, you all have the patience of saints!! I hope to share more with everyone, but let me remind you of my secret repair shop on Canal St in NYC if you need omom & pop servicing--meanwhile if I could fit cookies through the internets I would send them all your way--thanks Mister X, Longman, JK1210 and Jorge. Me & my AIWA gonna get busy now...
