Hey all, just got signed up after picking up a pair of Sony WM-EX618's on eBay (one working, one for spares). Been after a portable cassette player for a while now, original plan was an EX402 like I had in school then an old WM-22 but they're selling for ridiculous money so thought I'd play relatively safe. Can't wait to get them, in the meantime I'm gonna be digging out my old minidisc player to get that back up and running again!
Welcome isitafox, some of the players are really getting good money, I'm glad I never culled my collection, even the mid-level models are popular. I've also got a little bit of the minidisc bug, they were never very big over here but I've found a few units over the years and bought some full-size components. They tend to work for the most part but the ribbon cables seem to be the weak link when they get old, brittle and break.
