Long time ago a friend of mine gave me a broken Sony Walkman WM-3 and as time passed by it was buried further and further down in the archealogical layers. The WM-3 has now resurfaced and I have tried to try and repair/refurbish it and the gift it back to it's original owner. This forum seems to be a good spot for information and discussions to support the mission.

Welcome Tony, and yes they make great gifts. The nice thing is I can go to any flea market, garage sale or thrift store and still find a bunch of old tapes for sale cheap. The WM-3 is an older model and should be fairly easy to fix, most of these just need new belts and DeOxit or FaderLube on the switches and sliders to get back that 1980's sound.
