Of course. It was PITA but it works (at least for some time and with backup and normal batteries in). I think it's written on the other F710C radio topic, but I will copy paste it and add my comment. Ok, here it is: This part is not mine: Take out main battery and backup battery from cassette cover. (Wait few minutes) Press and hold Radio ON and Tun/Scan(+) Insert main battery Release Radio On and Tun/Scan (+) Radio switched on 87,5 mhz Insert backup battery My comments: Tun+ is Scan+ on Japanese F701. It wont turn radio on, it will switch to different FM. After that you turn radio off and on and it's set to EU. I had to make it few times, that's why it's pita. And at least in my F701C it looses this setting after a while of not use even with batteries inserted.
Thanks for sharing. I'm still in the market for a F701C, they are hard to acquire for a decent price (in a decent shape).
Absolutely not worth it. I'm looking for someone who would repair one of those I have. I have 3, I can send 3 of them and want only one working back. It would need new rollers.
So I had this moment of 'Eureka' and here it is how you set radio in Sony WM FX-811: 1. Push Enter and keep pushing - button is on the left side (near Volume control wheel). 2. Push Radio on button. 3. Area is blinking (relase buttons), change it to Eur or USA pushing REW button (once or twice), you can of course push FF but that would be more pushes. 4. Press Enter. Voila.
