Hello to all, new member here. I am in need of a tech person willing to take on my JVC portable listed in the title. I bought this new in my teen years, and while I can do some repairs on home audio gear, this is outta my wheelhouse for a number of reasons including, but not limited to, a lack of appropriately sized tools and know/how! lol The unit does power on, motor(s)? turn, but there is no movement in the mechanism. The FM radio pack works like new and even the vinyl case is in good nick! Alas, the original headphones are long gone. I am located in NY, and as much as I would love to have Valentin, who did an excellent overhaul in ‘21 on another CQ-1K, work on mine, I fear shipping to & fro Romania would be costly.
