    A cassette deck... which I got at a garage sale in the late-90s. Can't recall what model, but IIRC, it had a Type-III tape setting. I brought it into work, to attach it to the shop stereo, but left it behind when I got canned with lack of explanation as to why.

    Marantz Gold is interesting, they did really anodize the front aluminum plates with gold. The interesting thing is not all of the same model units are gold, some came in silver. I traced back to a 1972 catalog that mentioned the anodizing, I was just curious which unit you were thinking of nickelindimer.

    If I saw it again, I could tell you. The location of the shop has since been torn-down, but I keep in touch with a few of the co-workers I had there... so maybe one of them kept it. We'll see....
