@ walkman archive thats very interesting, because the foil seems to be original. How did they get the fake into the foil ?
This is a special edition from 1993/94 with a special clip to fix the reels and cover the tape. By the way, i also found this, it`s a curious thing - a Super CDing with a SA logo, it only exists as multi pack.
Very curious, man. I love the SA and I have also SA-X and even the SA-XS. I have these ones: But the most expensive is the SA-XG, a true gem and rarity. I have just one and don't want to open and use it ;-) Also the AR special edition is so cool: Anyway, I think my type II favorites are the SONY UX-Pro, I like the design more than the SA-X or SA-XS. BTW: As I explained previously, I finally got the 2000s SA:
Yes sometimes Sony also by my meaning has the better design.I have sold all my 50 Sony cassettes. Super Metal Master for example. And you have all 3 different SA-XS, - SA-XS..EA, SA-XS..EB and SA-XS..EC. It seems that SA-XS only were produced for the europian market. Similar to SA-XG - only for american market.
The tapes for japanese/asian region all have the japanese letters. And the SA-XG has the american sales adress.
Now there arrived two new cassettes - very rare in this excellent condition The first is the japanese SA C90 from 1975-1978 - its the second edition, the first SA from Japan not have the "Improved" - Printing . The second is the SA C90 from 1979 - the type for the asian/japanese region, i only had these for Europe and Northern America.
Meanwhile i´ve got the information, that the parcel from Russia was sent back to sender ( Elvis is laughing, - me not ), because the import of magnetic storage media is sanctioned now. The shipment costs are wasted... Now we try to send over Kazakhstan - i`m excited, how this will work. By the way, the cassettes are inexpensive, so it`s not a bigger problem to pay second shipment.
Great collection of TDKs! I’m very impressed. I’m “trying” to build a very small collection of (sealed) metal TDK tapes – all of them 90-minutes tapes except for a few naked (no wrapping) 46, 60 and 90 MA-R tapes which are planned to be framed. The main focus is to collect MA-R (with and without detection holes), MA-XG, where some of both types are already in place. I guess I will later acquire the MA, MA-X as well. At the moment I’m waiting for a couple of 1st generation MA-R (2 x with detection holes and 1 x w/o the holes) And as you can see – in the end this will be a very very tiny collection, but for me this is the goal. A "bit" expensive, but fun!
The TDK MA-R ( especially the early MA-R C ) cassettes belong in every good cassette collection. They are one of the heaviest produced ever, 120 g with cover. As i began to collect, i had the BASF Metal, the Sony Super Metal Master, the Maxell Vertex, and the Nakamichi ZX too. Not to forget AGFA ME IV, and Denon DXM. It's really amazing how much they still cost. Good luck for collecting.
