    I love the multi-colored plasticy boomers from this time, anybody have a Love Call? One's been on ebay but it's pretty expensive.

    National Panasonic with a wireless remote! From 1974, it has to be one of the first. The inputs all look small but the cover implies that the guitar is plugged into it.

    Some neato offerings from the 1973 National Catalog. You can see where they thought sales would be with the 4-color photos. The SG-333 looks like a cool piece, anybody own one of these? Six decent boomboxes but no traditional "boomboxes" although I really like the tape only in different colors. I added the portable TVs for us TV guys, remember how we all thought TV would be so cool if they were super small? Now we're going the other direction.

    I found one of these bad-boys last year, they're not too big even with the 18cm speaker buth they have an eye-catching rounded dial cover and a round VU meter stuffed in there for a unique look. It also has mini jacks for AUX + MIC in and SPEAKER out but no AUX setting so you probably have to do the record button trick.
