I need help getting this Sony TCS 430 working again. It was working yesterday fine however the play button was getting stuck even after I hit eject so I took it apart sprayed some deoxit on the mechanism and it seemed to work fine. After I was putting it back together the speaker cable came undone so I soldered it back on. Then I went to test it and it didn't work even with fresh batteries. I know I dropped a little bit of solder onto the PCB but I can't seem to find where I dropped it. To anyone who can help me get this working again I would appreciate it.

Those little wires love to get pinched on reassembly. The blue wire looks unattached at the battery, I'm sure you had to see that. Good luck, sorry I can't help more.

Oh yeah I saw that, it's the negative cable for the speaker that I was soldering. It should run without the speaker attached, no?

In most cases I'd say yes, the unit should run without the speaker.
It might just be the photo but is the top circuit board pinching the flywheel?
