Just walk into my local HMV store this afternoon and a band I had never heard of before was playing in store. I like the track I heard, while browsing I heard them say in between tracks they said they had LP’s, CD’s and cassettes for sale. I walked round and picked up an LP, then between tracks I asked them what the track was just before the one that just finished was is it on this LP in my hands. They said yes and it’s call Bad blood. Walk to the counter to pay for the LP, after I paid the guy serving me said would I like it signed by the band as they are doing signing today when they finish playing. I replied no, not interested. I remember when bands used to do in-store (record shops) here all the time, especially before concerts. It was very common in the 70's-90's. Then the Mall of America used to have bands come for a song or two and they'd do mass signings, my friend got up at 3 AM to wait with thousands of others to get J-Lo's Signed CD. The "rotunda" was four stories tall and could hold a ton of people looking down at the small stage. It's been forever since anything like that was promoted.
Meute – Empor While at Munich High-End Show 2024, one of the rooms played a track from a group I had never heard of. I enquired about the track / band, it was Meute. They are a German marching band, well I never thought I’d be listening to a marching band; here I am listening to them. They are a marching band with a difference, they are dance / techno, some of it even sounded like drum & bass.
