Back in the old days TV shows had some great musical scores and Mike Post was on top of the world! I just pulled out this awesome album with three big hits, back when TV/movie scores used to live on the charts. American Hero, Rockford Files and my personal favorite, Magnum PI. The little Hitachi doesn't do it justice, following Radio's Advice I'm going to hook up something bigger! With EQ's!
Great record! Love Gino Soccio, i have several albums (vinyl and cassettes) and maxi singles of him. Timeless.
Since I don't know the record my like is for the Technics SL10. Is it as good as its reputaton and have you compared it to an SL7 ?
The album is great, you should give it a try . Regarding the Technics: i'm very happy with it. It is recently serviced and with original element and no signs of wear, it looks and plays like mint, I don't have the SL7. I do have the SL V5 (vertical turntable) and the SL 6 but the SL10 is in a different league. The SL 7 should be as good (or better) than the SL10 because of the technology but to me the SL 10 is the (design) classic.
Concerto and performer (it was Richter, I do not believe Karajan ever performed in Ukraine) which sounded 'as good as Boney M' to my teenager ears ...but that was ages ago... and nowadays:
