JVC from 1977, the model number escapes me, I have one around here somewhere, I love these late-70's models and this one has the optional mics installed.

Some JVC Beauties from 1978 including the 9443 S/W. We have to Reli busy adding to the boombox database....This looks like a double-page spread, it just show how popular boomboxes were in 78, they really took off. I've never seen a 9443 before anybody have one they can post? 8 watts is super impressive, most of the 70's mono's were 5 or less.

The radios were built like tanks back then, I've got the 9501 and love it. This is the true model number there is no "RC" in front of it. One of the cool features is the multi-band dial is in 3-D, it steps back on each band, the look is very nice and makes it look "up-scale." Most of these had MIC Mixing as a standard feature, plug in a MIC and sing along or use it as a PA system.

When you think that they replaced the mostly boring looking tape deck and transistor radio by merging them and making them look much sexier than the parts, it gives you warm-fuzzies.

Their not cassette radio but the dual speaker model looks interesting, some JVC's from 1971. You would think they'd advertise it as stereo but it might not be.
