Hi, I recently won an auction for a Hitachi 3D80, in very good condition. Since I haven't owned it from the start, I don't know its history and how it was when it was new, but I've noticed (or rather, not noticed) something about the tape switch. It's either NOR/CrO2, for each type respectively. Thing is, I don't hear a difference at all, no matter what position the swith is in, or what tape type I play/record. Anyone out there who owns one of these, do you notice a difference on your machine? On my Walkman, the switch definitely changes the sound. Thank you.
