I think he should reproduce the original in its entirety,
but with an appendix (or a completely corrected brochure,
or an appendix with comments and correct pictures).
In general, with such an approach to business, he can publish books
With reprints of original brochures as attachment
And comments that will have independent value

Recreating the original implies the original.
And if there are errors in it, that makes it even more valuable.
And supplying the original catalog with a separate attachment, showing errors, this also attracts the meticulous public...

 

Those are are fun and interesting comments, Alex. Many of your ideas appeal to my inner perfectionist... it doesn't take much to activate that part of me! This is just a guess, but it seems like you might be member of the "meticulous public" that you speak of! haha
