I have to push in the record button to listen to AUX, while holding down the cassette record tab button inside the transport.

Same as on the Sony CF-550 then (1971-1976) :frown: ... Disappointing but that's because early boxes did not think of people wanting to use just the speakers to play an input record player or reel to reel through. So they did not incorporate a type of source select switch yet. Having to "trick" the machine to play by recording on a non-existent tape is a bummer.

Okay so here's a powerhouse on the left which is a General Electric 3-6000b and on the right is a lower shelf treat, the Toshiba rt-6015.

I recon this girl would be one of the best, well my favourite, and she plays extremely well.

I'm not sure I agree Hyperscope, they started using boomboxes as mini-studios going back to around 1975. Maybe it was not included because they wanted to upsell you to a boomer that had AUX in?

I don't know what year this came out but this has the line in.
Sony rhythm 9000 & 900 Yes I made the video about it cuz I had both of these and I got rid of them both. I actually bought one from agent orange a long time ago, and then I bought the JDM model from Japan. I proceeded to investigate them, repair them and get rid of them because they weren't my cup of tea.
