I found a little blurb, it says the pharmaceutical side was related, they were a joint venture with a USA Company. I didn't get a chance to download it.

I got sucked into this again and I'm enjoying some lovely banter on Tapeheads and some JDM Websites, I was just hoping to find some technical info on the transports. I did find this new JDM Blog with an interesting foray into 1970's game machines. I'm pretty sure Sankyo Seiki is the Transport/Tape Deck Company but not 100%

Sankyo Seiki was spun off from Sankyo Yuen Setsubi in 1971 , and the two companies merged again to form Sankyo in 1976. Understanding this history would make it seem possible to get a rough idea of when the machine was manufactured from the company name listed in the documents, but as I continued my research, I realized it wasn't that simple.

From 1978, while no boombox photos are here, there is a small drawing of one!
