I am looking for a specific boombox that I had as a kid growing up in the early 2000s I believe it was either a Panasonic or Sony boombox. It was both a cassette player and CD player it was silver or gray the cassette player popped out the front. It had some decent size rectangular buttons, and it was medium size with like angular speakers clipped on the corners facing it like a 45° angle. I can’t remember what the display looked like but I don’t believe it was back lit. I’ve used AI to search and I’ve searched the web extensively and I’ve had no luck finding the model that I remember, having as a kid. I believe it had a folding handle on it.

Does anyone know a model that fits this description?

I think you can eliminate Panasonic as by the time boomboxes had CD players all their boomboxes seemed to be black.

Sony did a mixture of black and silver. Here are some silver ones with the cassette at the front

If it isn't one of those three then the best idea is to search through eBay including the completed listings.
Just narrowing my search down to Sony, most of them weren't silver, while having the cassette come out of the top eliminates another half.

The Sony ZS-D55 in my Avatar is silver with a backlit display, but it is the CD that pops out of the front while the cassette deck is on the top.

    Good luck in your search.

Once we get out of the early 90's it can be very difficult to find models. The earlier models were so iconic but they quit putting out statement pieces and they all started to look generic by 2000. Toss in long or repetitive model numbers and it's nearly impossible.
