sir, i do have a WM-D6C, as this is the only Walkman in my collection, wich i ever bought brandnew (this was in 1983) for a fortune and i still own it. i used it, to secretly record several concerts and it‘s with me now for more than 2 thirds of my life and i did never regret it, not one second. over the years i got me the one or other more portable cassette recorder, all kinda brands, from „lo“to „ pro“.

today i count almost 54 springs and believe me, if i‘m using a portable unit today, i‘m NOT using it for it‘s quality, i‘m just using it for the fun of using it. if i want to enjoy my favourite music, i prefer to hang in the „sweet spot“ of my armchair in between my speakers (or headpones), spin some wax, have some booze and chill. i‘m not walking around in public anymore wearing funny and inconveiant mickeymouses or plugs in my ears, powered by yawly, wow and fluttery little cassette-players, i‘m to old for that...:old:

i collect portable cassette players, because i seriousl lik‘em, they‘re part of my youth (and life) and i do carefully (and tenderly) reflect a certain lifestyle in keeping‘em, giving‘em a home and sharing infos and pictures of’em here with you.
this includes not only those - so called - highend-units like D6c, DD9, DC2 etc. etc., it also includes all those early real „Walkmen“, my f***ing load of Clonemen and all those lousy Infinity‘s (...and all their derivates) plus attempts of other „big brands“, trying to catch the portable-music flow of the early 80‘es. etc. etc.

...anyway, what do i tell you, that‘s why you here as well
    :drinks
