    1975, this would have been kid candy if my family could afford it, we ended up with the cheap piano recorders, recording off the radio for hifi mono.

    1975 and it sure is juicy! One of my favorites but it hasn't graced my collection, these have always been on the higher side price-wise and a little rare but they do pop up. This was advertised in a German Car Magazine just after some info on the latest 911.

    It had that small component cool factor but I think most people here were buying full sized-equipment and it was probably cheaper. These units that were kind of a cross between boombox and field recorder are some of my favorites, heavy-duty builds, dual VU meters, what's not to like?

    1985 Sony, a little off topic but a neat Beta Unit shown with audio back when stereo VHS/Beta was the talk of entertainment. I ended up with a mono Beta cuz you could record rental tapes with it. VHS to VHS had a buzzing security feature when you tried to copy that format but notso with VHS to Beta.
