Well i have spent a few hours with my new one and they do indeed sound superb guys plenty of bass and volume...had some u2 vangellis
mike oldfield even some scooter on there....were they worth what i paid hell yea but i'm still not sure about the original retail value.....if money was no object then no problem lol

longman i have always said i wouldn't be seen dead in a suit and i quite mean it lad:wink2....a side note though guys, if a tuner is important to you forget this one as she is a jap only one which is a bummer for me as i use the tuner quite a bit these days ...pic on the way if i can find my bits, not those ones lol,,,,i would have personally placed the value at £500 £600 new myself back in the day if they had sold over here guys and i know i would have bought one on credit at that price lol

jorge you are the king of cd around here lad....this is the ultimate statement with cd and sound quality to match :wink2

here is a better pic with the grill off lads...this is how a subwoofer works, a great idea from sony at that time...also the jvc hyperbass boxes amongst many others used the same principal starting in 1988....the most famous and expensive being bose

Just don't start looking through the sellers eBay shop. Every other item is worthy of the "Cool Stuff For Sale" thread. So many upmarket boxes we never got to see here. The MiniDisc fans would be spoilt for choice as well.

p.s. I may have asked before, but does your Radiogram do anything but serve as a table for purchase of the week ?

Finally I just looked at the sellers store front.
    You want everything.jpg
I think we can guess Radio Raheem's answer to the woman's question

His shop has wayyyyy to much cool stuff, he should give some to me! If it wasn't for the postage, I'd buy from him

and one thing we have all forgotten is the tax, on the 3 items i have bought i have paid £250 so far. so not for the faint hearted i guess....the last d3000 i bought well that just turned out to be for getting one repaired so i will stick with the 2 i have, i was refunded on the latest one though so all good

Overpriced & way too recent to appeal to me lad - The lack of a cassette deck means serious minus points too! I do use CD's a lot but only to transfer my latest playlists to tape & play in the car too! I never saw one before either! Please don't tell me how much you paid for those two lad, my heart is weak!! :delighted::delighted::delighted:

cheers nick lad, i would say these 6 radios are my faves at the moment bro,,,,there is a 980 in Germany at the moment but i doubt you would pay the asking price. still it's much cheaper than they used to be which is a good thing imho
