I have a Sony TCS-300 which appears to work apart from needing a clean and a set of belts/idle tyres.

The battery pack is another matter! the terminals are badly corroded and I wondered if something can be done?
Is there a way of replacing the terminals...

Has anyone worked on something like this before and have any advice?

Oh yea, the good ole battery poop!

I'm sure there's threads on here with some good pointers, you might also have to dive into the forum reader to find really old threads. Guys like 8-Bit Guy on YouTube might be able to help with similar equipment restorations.

If you want some ideas, Garage Journal always has answers, here's one thread, I know there's chemical and electrial extraction methods. The electrical method is neat, they use a car battery charger or wall wart to excite ions in a small bath.

You should be able to find similar replacement parts online, DigiKey and Parts Express are popular over here.
