Does anyone know where I can find a replacement part for the plastic piece that goes on top of this spring for the friction clutch that operates the FF/REV on this Sony TCS 430.
I made myself a replacement by cutting on a plastic sheet (like those from when you're buying batteries, etc...) in a round shape, then I cut the middle with a needle (you can also heat the end of it, so it melts a dot in the middle. You want the hole to be the size of the notch diameter at the top of the axle, or even slighly smaller. Then after this, you can cut a line, from the hole to the exterior of the round shape you've cut before, so it helps it to fit on the axle. Additionally, you can add some superglue drop on it, but it should stay in place normally. For better chance, i suggest opting for a plastic that matches the notch's thickness. Worked on mine, even if you have to do it all over again to make the right replacement, good luck !
