Hello. First post and all that jazz. I've a technical query that I'm sure someone will have the experience or expertise to be able to help me with, but apparently I have to post here first to say hello. So, hello! I have a WM-FX493 that I bought new in about 2000 that I want to get working again. It has issues. I remember very clearly spending (what was then) a reasonable chunk of cash on this machine, noting that compared to the WM-FX2085 I'd had before, although the tape transport was fully powered (nice, and allows a remote control) it didn't have the clock and alarm function that the old 2085 (and others) had. Clearly walkman was already on a little bit of a decline. Hopefully I can post in the technical repair subforum now.. David.
