I don't love them as much as I used too but I love revisting these old ads and would certainly grab one if the price was right like my recent Goodwill Find. If I had more time I'd probably have a blast buying up the vintage equipment and doing some simple repairs but I just don't get much extra time or space for all of the little stuff. One of these days I should get a big ole space and maybe turn it into a rehab area with some people willing to learn the trade.

Maybe in the 1970s. In the 1980s that was one of many functions. Databank, World time (maybe with a map). Analog hands on an LCD display was cool. I recall a friend turning up at college on a Monday with the Casio Space Invaders watch that they had just launched. Calculators were common. I will let @Mister X look for the advert but I am sure there was a Casio with a built in Scientific calculator.

A final one that I recall someone getting in the 1990s was the Casio with the built in TV remote control. Can today's "smartwatches" do that?

The watch with the TV remote was a neat idea, I remember programming my PDA with a similar program, when you went to the bar to watch TV you could change the channels!

I have fond memories of buying fake rolex and breitling from spain and countries like that...the markets were flooded with things like that and you even had the watches sold to you on the beach, great memories, sadly all mine were stolen but still they were the days

I've got a few of those! I remember all of the college kids would come back from spring break and have some super nice Rolex or Tag, it took me awhile to put it together. I like checking out the fake rolex watch channels where the pull them apart.

Wrong thread but that's ok. I don't know how big my photos look, I shrink them down to around 5" but I have a 42" monitor I use so everything looks huge.

M-Watch from 1985, I never saw one of these before, did they ever catch on? The designs look kind of generic.

Casio's from 1983, these are a little underwhelming when Swatch was taking over the world, Casio kicked it into high gear with the G-Shock Line sometime around this time and it became extremely popular.

I wanted a rock watch bad when these came out but I completely forgot about them, from 1987, the Tissot Rock Watch.
