I do a screen shot on the big screen but it's still below full resolution and looks pixalated, is there a better way to do it?

The minidisc kind of slipped into play while the DCC was mired in legal hell from the record companies. Sony actually bought one of the big USA Record Companies to have a seat at the discussion table.

Both of these were way too expensive for me, I was still buying used cassettes for $1 USD and had home, car and portable players. The hype around DCC was huge, so much that I think the free marketing would made it really popular but the prices had to come down, even the blanks were close to an album price.

I appreciate your finds, because the old issues are not really indexed.
Hence my attempt to index a few Walkman oriented catalogs, see the dedicated thread over in the Walkman section.
I usually rotate the page 90 degrees, and do a full screen capture on a landscape monitor.

No index, I'm usually doing paperwork or phone calls for work and checking out websites mining information during this time. It all gets posted on the big pile, feel free to use anything I've posted.....

This looks like an early version of the MD or it's a 3.5" floppy. From Rolling Stone 1989, anybody have one of these cameras in their collection?

Sebastian raises a valid point: all the CDs bought so far will become useless if MD becomes the standard, similar to the LP (vinyl) to CD transition.

The alternative world, it's amazing it never happened especially when affordable recording for CDs was still a few years away.
