Finally found it! I'm quite sure Johnsons is a local Indonesian brand. The name "Remaja" means teenager.

Autoreverser - If you want this stereo just PM me I'll send it to you for the cost of postage! It's just stuck in a drawer here with a few others, would be better off in your collection & it really does sound very good for such an old machine & the radio pack works fine too!

I love some of these brands lol, Where did they come up with them all! It really is pretty much the same stereo whatever guise it was sold in! I like these models a lot, who cares what they were branded as - A good quality budget player with full transport (None of that fast forward only shite) also cue & review, talk line etc! Great stereo's!

Woahh, what an awesome collection autoreverser. How did you come across all of those? I can never seem to find any for cheap on ebay or amazon, and I cant spend close to a hundred dollars for that stuff. Are there any methods that I don't know of? I've never found any clones at yard sales, which is mainly where I go looking for cassette stuff.

Just keep your eyes open Moose, you will find equipment. It is getting harder and I don't see as many players as I used to, the thrifts got smart and started pulling them from the floor and found more lucrative ways to sell them. During all of my searching I might have found 2 or 3 clones, most people remember them as a cheap player when they couldn't afford to get a Walkman. I think a lot just got tossed out, they just didn't have the emotional pull as the expensive units did. Thrift stores, garage sales, flea markets, and once in a great while, antique stores are the best places to search.

You must have (too) many :). I would be interested to see how members are storing their collection.. I am happy with having a few on display and quick use in my home office. However, the others I am thinking of putting in a keyboard case or flightcase. Those pelican nearly indestructible ones are great, expensive though and not that readily available secondhand.

i decided for this collection not to overtake too much of my space/life, there’s my glass-top couch table with my most beloved goodies and the one or the other shelve in my music room, filled up with bits of my collection. i must admit, i have to do something with those Clonemen. there‘s no vitrine for them, just a dark box without daylight - only new-entries are in eye-hight in my headphone-corner untill i‘ve listed and photgraphed them and then disappear ina box. i definitively need to look for a solition. well. i allready think of one, but that would be each one without any accessories, means also a box/drawer/shelfe with listed accessories (…nope, i refuse all this buerocratic effort in my freetime !).
well, after all they deserve it…

anyone here intersted to make a youtube-documentary/clip/fanpage or whatsoever about them with my full support ?
i‘m located in Germany, send me a p.n….
