Cool boomers, those big Marantz's are huge! That guy has an interesting channel, I love the Grundig Party Center, it's cheezy 80's but it kind of still works.

Just found this channel with a tune-up on a CRS-2104, awesome! He looks like a pretty big UK Collector, maybe Northerner? Lot's of cool boombox videos. He talks about the great tuning section, yep.

    It's not too rare ; )

I post most of what I find, they pop up then disappear.

DUG did a video of it years ago and said it wasn't rare. Maybe not in Tokyo but I don't think they got exported, mine was hand carried by my mule to my awe trembling hands. You should post some photos of yours or at least the swag that came with it, didn't you get the box and manuals?

I got these off a yahoo Listing last summer, unfortunately I can't credit the seller cuz I didn't save the link and they wanted silly money just for these.

In case your wondering which one is the king of the hill?

    CRS-8000 115,000 Yen $507 USD (1980) $2056 USD (today)
    CRS-5000 89,800 Yen
    PMS-7000 84,800 Yen
    CRS-4800 79,800 Yen

Yea baby some heavy metal boxes and some of the most expensive. How many of these were exported, not many of the big ones, maybe the 8000 and 5000? Auto has a CRS-4800, maybe more went to Europe but I don't think we got any.
