The Universum 8800 Super Stereo is a very heavy ghettoblaster from the early 1980's made by Quelle in Germany.

After a long hunt, I finally managed to get hold of the device. It’s got a few minor issues, so I’m hoping to track down a service manual for the radio. Any tips on where I might find one?
    Thank you in advance!

Hi, interesting page, but not quite the right service manual. But this proved that is still possible to find.

The good news is there are manuals for Universum out there but who knows if they've been uploaded or digitized. I bought a big box of Marantz Service Manuals a few years ago and it has some very interesting all-in-ones that rarely come up for sale. I might have some of the only copies but it would take a month to scan/upload them and the equipment is pretty rare.

Service manuals are always hard to find, expecially old one's. I have a Marantz casette deck in daily use (model SD460) and I have been very pleased with it. I know that it's not the hight-end device by Marantz, but it still produces that wonderful warm '80 soud.
