I don't know if this has been posted yet, the thread is getting long, from 1991, the NEW Sony MINI DISC!
Realistic CD-3100 from Electronics Australia 1988, pricing is Australian and I think this is a Citizen AKA.
yes, Citizen CBM-1000 All dead by now, schematics or SM not available, same design ideas as in AIWA bboxes (do first, think of layout later). and, as in Toshiba players, you cannot do final laser calibration when everything is put together: calibration pots get sandwitched between the boards and you have to make a bunch of multipin 'extension cords' even for the basic maintenance. I gave up on fixing mine CBM1000 years ago... BUT: I like the idea of its battery caddy: instead of one 'gondola' it has two, both sides of the player.
This is neat, I've never seen one and it was at the tail end of the Watchman Popularity. By this time Casio's were just a few dollars and they were sold everywhere. The EPSON SAM Vision System from Electronics Today Magazine 1991

The watches were the neatest but very expensive and they didn't sell well, Sony's Watchman and Casio really took over the portable TV market.
