1994 Audio Magazine, she has a little Mr X in her eyes! Wow, the JVC is stunning, I've never seen that one before but it has a silly money price tag. Anybody own one?

Great find! There's some info about the new stereo microcassettes. I picked up my Quasar SM Boombox to check the model number to see if it was close to the Pansonic GZ-7 and found some of my Eneloops in it. I'm not sure what the GZ-7 is?

nice. pocketcalculatorshow.com. that‘s how it all started (that page is mother of stereo2go), even that i think, it was founded in 1999 - not as it says in 2001…
i was member there of first hour (more or less). there was no chatroom in those days, you had to send an email to paul or tim and they published or forwarded it to the receipiant.
after surfing their page, i bought my first dd100 boodo khan on ebay. they were expensive all the time, well, watching those todays prices, i got a bargain paying 100 bucks for a boxed unit…

I've got some screenshots from the early internet, a lot of equipment was pretty cheap but the nicer units have always sold for a premium. Ebay was different back then, auctions started at .01 cent, you didn't trust the sellers that started at a high price.

The PCS.com guys did a great job of posting a ton of units that were pretty rare at the time, stuff I'd never seen before like the GZ-7, and I think they got big hits on the website because of it.

It's not July 1st, yet this is the first time I'm bringing up this story. The model I worked on after transferring from design to product planning—the me who wrote my graduation thesis on a #Walkman. From some technical tidbits on the design side, we planned "completely wireless" earbuds for a July launch, which was still too early for the year-end shopping rush. Back in the days when people were still like, "Bluetooth, really? How's that gonna work?" It laid the groundwork for today's music culture.

On July 1, 1999, the "WM-WE01" was released. It was the first model in the Walkman 20th anniversary commemorative series. #ウォークマン #walkman It achieved full wireless connectivity for the remote control and headphones. The remote control features a large clip and strap hole, while the receiver headphones have the receiving circuit on the right side and the battery on the left. For the transmission frequency between the main unit and the receiver headphones, it uses the 230MHz band, which is less susceptible to interference from broadcast waves or obstructing radio waves. Additionally, it adopts a circular polarization method separate from FM broadcasting or terrestrial waves to maintain stable transmission and reception along with clear sound. Moreover, an ID code is set between the remote control and the main unit to reduce crosstalk. The exterior color reproduces the blue of the original Walkman TPS-L2. The main unit is equipped with the F mechanism that I designed, resulting in a slim 23.3mm body. In fact, the year after this model was released, a prototype was developed internally that eliminated the left and right headphone cords. TWS earphones already existed back in 2000. My first impression when we made it was, "It seems like it'd fall off your ear and get lost" (lol).
