A great article on early headphones, the Walkman came out in July 1980 and this is May 1981. It shows how popular these were right off the bat.

They also followed with a blank cassette tape price guide for 1986, pretty cool! Sorry but it's in US Dollars.

and a review of the Hitachi DA-P100 Protable CD Player. Unfortunately they only scanned this page and the others are missing, they usually do a pretty in-depth review so it's disappointing that it's missing. I've got a very similar Toshiba Unit, they look almost identical.

One of my favorite types of portable tape decks, field recorders are everything I like about the cassette tape medium. Heavy duty players with all kinds of settings, these were used in industries when the quality recording was important. I've got a good selection from the list and I'd hate to part with any of them. Check out some of the pricing, the JVC's are interesting, even though the KD-2 is significantly smaller than the KD-1636, it's only $40.00 USD less.

An early article that came out a few months after the introduction of the Walkman, don't look for any cool photos, there aren't any...

There's nothing better than folding laundry and looking for vintage ads and information. There's a treasure trove in Electronics Australia found on the Wayback Machine.
