These mini Compo Systems are great I got one, I posted about it when I got it last year.
I remember I was compering it to the SANYO C9, the AIWA wins in sound quality.

This is my A22 & my FH-7 side-by-side. The A22 came in the wooden cabinet, though I've no idea if its an official Aiwa product, but it does fit well with a bit of breathing space at the top.

Have you looked inside the box to see if there's any markings lupogtiboy? That might have been the inside of he small leather compo with no speakers.

Cool system, looks like it's sat in a garage or storage unit for years though, with all that corrosion on the knobs.

I had a carrying compo back in the '80s. It was awesome. It was essentially the M-101. I sold it at a hifi store in Stafford in the UK, back in the mid-late '80s. Idiot :/

It was about 15kg - quite heavy :)

It's a beauty, and surprisingly good sound. I will always remember when I lent the amp and speakers to a friend for a party and she looked at it doubtfully thinking it wouldn't be any good because it was so small, but when I fired it up her expression was of amazement, and then she said, ok, that's done then and quickly moved onto her next "to do" :)

Yes it does, I removed it when I got it to clean the stereo and got lazy to put it back on.
I like it better like this too.

Very nice Patron! Mine's still "on the water," in the mail," "you should be getting it anyday," etc.... Did you replace the batteries Patron or were they still good? I think they are common motorcycle batteries but I haven't looked them up. Mine has the infamous plastic panel over the battery compartment so I'll have to try to find one of those.

Mister X, hope you get it fast, which one did you get ?
The batts, I left them in there, Didn't replace them, but I wander if it would work with good batts.

Mines the same as yours except it has the plastic cover over the battery space (there's no battery box). It's the one on the first page, it's coming overseas so it might be a few more weeks.

I think it has batts , tho someone just placed that label on top of batt label ,
Mine also has that label, but is on top of the crate. Let me find a pic,

Yes ,these are tiny stereos, but they sound great and the controls feels like a high end unit, as it should.

Were this systems sold with out speakers? Most of the magazine pictures don’t show speakers and the systems on eBay don’t come with speakers either, what about the speakers ??? Most likely were sold separately but why? Any ideas, I think I need to know now.
