As the title says my WM-3 doesn't work with a cassette in. it does move but it's getting caught in the pinch roller. I've cleaned all the parts and I have replaced: The belts, pinch roller and both idle tires but it still doesn't want to move the tape in FF/RW or when playing, it's just getting pulled through the pinch roller. any advice?
I would check the belt routing as on this model it's very easy to put the main belt backwards. This will drive the reels backwards, pushing the tape out of the cassette. From your description it's not clear if the reels are rotating the correct way or not. If this is not your problem, please give us a more detailed description of the problem or make a video.
