Hey all! I purchased a near-mint WM-D6C not too long ago and I had a quick question about the rewind function. I've successfully replaced all of the rubber including the belts, ring, tires, and roller. I've also lubricated/greased the needed components such as the metal movements and plastic gears. After I put everything back together last week I did one final test and all seemed to operate perfectly! When I tested my Walkman today I noticed during rewind the counter wouldn't go backwards. It seemed to go forward fine but won't reverse. I did disassemble this mechanism to change the tire and I'm pretty sure I put everything back together correctly but as you can see in the video the counter-belt does not engage in rewind. If somebody could please help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!! I hope this demonstrates when the issue appears well. Best regards, Trey
I think I did something silly and didn't test it with a cassette actually loaded in the device and it appears to be counting perfectly... I'm not sure if it's possible to delete a thread so if anybody wants to give input on my Walkman's internals or other possible issues you see in the mechanism.. be my guest
