Volume control static fix?
kennydeez - 2012-07-25 23:15
This is my first post, please be kind.
I have a few portables with a volume cotrol static problem.
What would the fix be? Contact spray? Conductive grease?
Im stumped.
Please advise.
Thank you all for your help,
kennydeez

Hi Kennydeez, we're always kind here on S2Go.
I'm sure someone can answer your question but I've got a can of maplin's contact cleaner which has served me well over the years.
Now, your profile pic has posed quite a tease. I'm hoping this is your stash, if so can you please post a larger version in the Walkman Gallery section, you'll make a lot of friends round here with a collection like that.

Seeing you are in USA, I'd suggest you get yourself Deoxit D5 spray for the crackling volume pots. Works wonders for mine.

Hello Kenny,
Let me recommend you this. I use it for my walkman service and it really bust all the contact issues particularly on volume pots and switches.
