Some great stuff here!!!  Skippy I still have my pilot from 03 with 158, 000 on it. Im hopping to get another 2 years on it!

Cool on the 240! A friend in high school had one.  Is y ours the one with the spedo that shows the 20 mph instead of 10?

erniejade - 2013-02-23 08:49

Appreciate compliment on the Roadrunner and the 240Z.   I checked some photos of dash and the speedo starts at 0 and had 10 then 20 mph showing and up number in 10 mph increments.

Skippy that brand new Accord sport is spot on beautiful.  Fun , economical , dependable and looks fantastic.  Not to mention just a nice luxury ride. Congrats on purchase.

johnedward - 2013-02-24 11:29

Spaceboy that 330 M sport Bimmer is a beauty to behold sittings still or moving fast down the road.   Thats a keeper although hear the maintenance on them is brutal expensive once out of warranty.

Been on here a while and thought I would jump on the band wagon when I saw this forum with a few (not all) of my rides. I've added a new addition to the family

100_1327Building my Suzuki RF after Frame and all parts were painted

100_1329Here is the bike after assembly. Added D&D pipe but didn't feel like finding the photo

93PGT2PTMy 93 Probe GT. Restored to working order and saved her from the crusher 7 years ago. Been a reliable car for me and a pleasure to drive. I needed a project to keep me busy at the time.

100_1797Who said it stops with boom boxes? Got to have my tunes with style and quality everywhere I go. The sub amp finally kicked the bucket so I put my MTX into action since this photo. This was before I made the cover to hide the wiring.

100_1373PTMy baby. 96 Probe SE. Fuel efficient and very dependable. Keeping her until I die or its totaled.

000_0104Here again. Got to hear "better than stock" sound. I decided to hide the amps in this  ride. Wanted a clean look.

FSTMy New ride. The Focus ST. Fuel efficient and a blast to drive. Little 4 banger blasting out over 250HP and 270ft lbs Torque. Not the fastest in the world but a handful for a FWD weighing in at only 3200lbs.

100_0873For when room is needed on a daily commute.

Sorry for the long post. Hope you enjoyed.

davelc2 - 2014-01-26 23:18

I just picked up a 99 Infiniti I30 for a great price to replace my 08 Galant Ralliart as I'm looking to shave expenses. This is a great car & I always wanted a 95-99 Maxima or I30. I've seen many with over 300k miles with just routine maintenance. The one I've purchased has 160k miles & it's solid. I'll post a pic on my computer.

Very nice smeats, the BMW and mk 3 Cortina are two of my favourite cars. Is the Cortina a 2000 GXL or an E ? They look in great nick, a credit to you!

Hi Seb! The Cortina was a metalic purple 1600 XL automatic when the previous owner rescued her from a scrappy in 1992, 8 years later when I bought her it had a (not very good) black paint job, a white bonnet, 80s 5 spoke alloys but a 2 litre Sierra engine and 5 speed gear box!  I had her for 11 years and drove it all year round in every weather!

seb968 - 2014-01-31 16:24

Do you still have her now smeats?

smeats1976 - 2014-01-31 16:38

Sadly no, the everyday use got too much and I spent far too much time and money repairing leaks, welding and other body work from rust issues that I threw in the towel when a fellow cortina enthusiast knocked on by door and made me an offer. His timing was perfect because it needed a lot of work for its soon to expire MOT and my dad said I could have his E28 he had owned since 1996 and kept in a lock up for 5 years  for free If I was prepared to spend some time and money on it!

smeats1976 - 2014-01-31 16:44

What's the story with your Porsche Seb? Is it a money pit too?

seb968 - 2014-01-31 17:04

Sorry to hear that the Cortina is no longer with you but the BMW is nice! These German cars are very well made and make great sense as usable classic cars. The Porsche is very reliable considering it's age, service parts are cheap ( a lot of them are VW bits) However some parts are very expensive. There are plenty of spares available second hand though. I have owned the  944 for two years (have wanted one since I was a teenager) and apart from a having to replace a few relays she hasn't put a foot wrong, classic car insurance is cheap too. She will do about 28 miles to the gallon if not driven hard. But there is slight rust bubling on the wing and sill, won' t be an issue for a while but will be expensive eventuality. I will get the work done because she is worth it to me! (And it's such a a great car to drive) I use the 944 most of the time but also have an old Nissan Almera as a run about.

Thought it was time to take a picture of my wheels. I bought this Alfa in 2005 when it was 5 months old. I will never sell it. At least not until Alfa make something equally desirable, and even then I doubt I could part with it. I drive a Fiat Scudo van most of the time and have an old Vauxhall Frontera for the winter months so this car does very few miles. It's only got 29,000 miles on the clock.

ao - 2014-05-13 05:55

Now, that I like.

OK, we're currently running the below Citroen C4 Grand Picasso or the 'Pick Arsehole' as I call it.  It really is a woeful flap of shit but we inherited it for next to nothing and living in a big city a car is relatively pointless.  It costs nothing to run and it fits all the children plus their friends but it's probably the most unpleasant driving experience there could possibly be.

FILE - Escort section from Ford Cars Brochure (October 1976).pdf

Very very cool NickFish

My current car is a bit more mainstream, so I won't post here, but I will put up some info of my first car I ever owned (a bit off topic but bear with me and read on).

I found the attached brochure (well, what was left of it ... as I only seemed to keep the pages relating to my first car) in the loft recently when I was hunting for some other stuff and thought it may be of interest to the team for those that may have ever owned one

I had the "L" model, pretty identical to the picture on page 6 but it had a black vinyl roof and I bolted on big spotlights to make it look more like the "Sport" on page 11. I was too young to wear the obligatory tache then ... I was only 17 ... and I think it cost about £500 second/third/fourth/... hand back then ... plus another £50 to get the sills welded to get it on the road for me - I need to find a pic of the actual car BITD but thought I ought to get this brochure up here sooner for your enjoyment

The best bit of this brochure, apart from reminiscing, is the description for tinted glass on the last page  (I'll let you read it for yourselves)

Have fun!
